William (Liam) Blume – Fulbright Alternate

Liam Blume is a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Alternate for the University of Kent award in the U.K. He is a journalist and 2019 cum laude graduate of UCI’s Literary Journalism program, where he also studied Arabic and Spanish. He reported on political corruption, crime, music, and public health for OC Weekly, Voice of OC, and New University while studying at UCI, and was a member of Saddleback Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He hopes to study propaganda’s effects on international conflict and is currently studying Arabic at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey.
