Christine is a Regents’ and Deans’ Scholar graduating with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, a minor in Biological Sciences, and specializations in Biophotonics and in Micro and Nano Biomedical Engineering. Throughout her undergraduate career, she has held two internships and many academic, entrepreneurial, and extracurricular positions. Her experiences range from designing complex neurovascular models for medical device validation testing to developing a multispectral camera to detect and age bruises in underrepresented domestic violence survivors. Christine achieved first place in Consumer Services in the 2021 UCI New Venture Competition, earned the 2024 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research, and received the UCI National Science Foundation I-Corps Award and the UCI ANTrepreneur Center Student Startup Fund. She is currently the team lead of her senior design project, NeoMold, and the R&D Project Manager of DermaVision, both of which received the Dean’s Choice Award at the 2024 UCI Engineering Winter Design Review and are published in the UC eScholarship Repository. In addition, Christine had the privilege of traveling to the 2022 Annual Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, where she and her team won Second Place in the Electrical/Computer Science track of the 2022 National BMES-Medtronic Student Design Competition for their design of a novel balloon catheter to reduce stent placement inaccuracy. The following year, she attended the 2023 Annual BMES Meeting in Seattle, Washington, to accept the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of her work to revamp the BMES at UCI Project Program. She also received the 2023 Student Mentor of the Year award from BMES at UCI and the 2023 Best Event and Best Collaborative Event awards from the Engineering Student Council. After graduation, Christine will join the University of Southern California as a Biomedical Engineering PhD student and a Viterbi School of Engineering/Annenberg Fellow with a focus on neural engineering
