Anna Tran – Strauss Recipient

Anna majors in Biological Sciences and is a SAGE Scholar. She designed a community engagement project called “Pay It Forward” which matches undergraduate pre-medical interns with seniors living in senior apartments to improve seniors’ health and fitness education, teaches them to use technology to stay connected to friends and family and access health information, and reduces social isolation through one-on-one and group activities. After she graduates, Anna would like to attend medical school and become a primary care physician.
