Bryon Tjanaka – NSF Honorable Mention

Bryon Tjanaka is a graduating third-year senior in Computer Science. During his time at UCI, he has worked with Roy Fox and the Intelligent Dynamics Lab on hierarchical reinforcement learning, and with David Mobley, Jessica Maat, and the Mobley Lab on molecular dynamics force fields. In addition to receiving multiple UROP fellowships for his research, Bryon is a Regents’ Scholar and an ICS Honors student. In his free time, he has served as Internal Vice President of ACM@UCI and interned at Google twice. This fall, Bryon will be joining the ICAROS Lab at USC as he pursues a Ph.D. in Computer Science under the supervision of Stefanos Nikolaidis.
