Christine Ji-Young Kim received an Honorable Mention in the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. She is a graduating senior with a double major in Anthropology and Chinese studies. At UCI, Christine was a student advocate for marginalized student groups, presenting at UCI Disabilities Services Center events and serving as the 2020-2021 UCI representative for the University of California Student Association (UCSA) International Student Coalition. In addition, she received multiple Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) fellowships for her research, Christine has served as a mentor to other students through the International Students Excellence Programs. She will return to UCI next fall to begin her doctorate study in Anthropology.
