A finalist for both the Rhodes and Marshall scholarships, Steven Gong is a triple major in human biology, economics, and political science. He founded the California Health Advocacy Network as a Strauss Scholar and has served as an ASUCI student government at-large senator, organizing director, and inaugural chair of the COVID-19 Response Committee. Having interned with the US Department of Health and Human Services, Steven most recently interned in the Office of the First Lady at the White House. Steven is graduating this June with the Chancellor’s Award of Distinction, and he intends to earn an MD and ultimately serve as a physician-policymaker.
