Peer Scholars Mentoring Program

The SOP Peer Scholars program is a confidential mentoring program focused on developing personal qualities, experiences and skills relevant to future prestigious scholarship applications and illuminating the process of applying for one of these highly competitive awards. In its inaugural year, the SOP Peer Scholars will offer underclassmen the opportunity to be matched with a “Big 10” scholarship applicant, a junior or senior applying to go abroad after graduation. The program will take place from late Spring Quarter to the end of Summer 2017.

Mentees will benefit by observing firsthand how highly accomplished students nearing graduation make decisions about the future, prepare essays and resumes, and undergo a campus nomination interview. We hope that the program will also enhance your interpersonal skills and confidence and inspire you to pursue your professional goals.
