Bhavesh Patel – Strauss Recipient

Bhavesh Patel is a third year Biological Sciences major with a minor in Medical Anthropology. His experiences in clinical research at UCI Medical Center and volunteering in rural India and Mexico have inspired him to attend medical school to become a physician after his undergraduate studies. Bhavesh will use the Strauss funding to travel to rural India to design and implement a tobacco abuse prevention project in his senior year. The goal is to create a model intervention at one public health center that can be disseminated to additional centers.
