Luis Ramirez – NSF Recipient

Luis Ramirez is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Luis is a transfer student from Cypress College and a graduating senior in Mechanical Engineering. As a first-generation student, he has been involved in numerous minority-serving organizations, such as Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and aims to become a research faculty member to continue mentoring future generations while conducting community outreach. Luis will begin his PhD at Yale University in the Fall where he will research bio inspired soft robotics.
