Tala is a recent alumna in English and a semi-finalist for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Turkey. She previously won this award in 2016, but the Turkey program was cancelled for both 2016 and 2017 due to safety concerns. She has previously performed research at California State University, Fullerton on incorporating multilingualism and English dialects in pedagogy. Tala is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Elementary & Secondary Education to support her career in education policy.
