Rohan is a second year undergraduate majoring in Earth System Science and specializing in Oceanography with a minor in Literary Journalism. He has an interest in ocean dynamics, scientific research administration, science communication, marine technology, and marine operations. Outside of academics he spends his free time taking pictures and getting out into nature! His first experience in undergraduate research was volunteering in the Ocean and Climate lab within the UCI Department of Earth System Science working with the shells of zooplankton species to understand past ocean conditions. He currently works as a student trip leader with the UCI Outdoor Adventure program and assists in theoretical ocean dynamics research within the Earth System Science Department. In the summer of 2024, Rohan will intern at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland as an EPP/MSI Scholar
