Andrea Morales is a first-generation transfer student at UC Irvine majoring in International Studies. As a woman of Purepecha descent, Andrea takes pride in her culture and takes inspiration from her community and allies to work towards decolonizing academic and professional spaces. During her time at UC Irvine, Andrea was a Peer Mentor for the Trio Scholars Program, and a SAGE Scholar. Andrea’s academic and professional experiences have motivated her to one day run for office so she can continue to support her communities at the state level.
