Angela Romea – Fulbright Alternate

Angela Romea is a recent alumna in Anthropology with a minor in Psychology. Angela spent 2016- 2017 as an Honorary UROP Fellow researching how Filipinos living under Rodrigo Duterte formulate political identities and participate in political culture on the Internet. She has also guided students in their academic planning during her work with UCI’s Social Science Academic Mentorship Program as well as led the set crew as a stage manager for The Vagina Monologues. Angela will be pursuing an M.A. in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, where she will focus on the Philippines and urban anthropology.
