Leanne Lupone – Fulbright Recipient

Leanne is a graduating senior with a major in Chemistry and a concentration in Education. Leanne has served as a Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative in San Juan Capistrano and additionally taught through UCI’s Early Academic Outreach Program in Compton for two summers. As a UCDC intern, she completed research for the U.S. Department of Education, and she is working on an honors thesis on STEM pedagogy in lab environments. Currently a student teacher in Costa Mesa, Leanne will soon travel to Uruguay to serve as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. After completing her year as a Fulbright Scholar, Leanne plans to work in a Title I public school, teaching science to low-income California students before pursuing a Master’s in Education.
