Ravi Sandhu – Fulbright Semi-Finalist

Ravi Sandhu is a Fulbright Semi-Finalist. Ravi is a recent summa cum laude graduate in Public Health Sciences and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Delta Omega honor societies. Upon graduation, Ravi received the Chancellor’s Award of Distinction, Honors in Public Health and Excellence in Research in the Biological Sciences. Under the mentorship of Dr. Annie Ro and Dr. Miryha Runnerstrom, Ravi served as first-author on a manuscript examining the factors that shape e-cigarette use amongst young Hispanics. Under Dr. Michael Kleinman and Dr. David Herman, Ravi also presented his research on the effects of waterpipe smoking at several national conferences. In the future, Ravi plans to pursue a career in healthcare law and to advocate for legislation that improves healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.
